In this attachment, four years ago, I wrote about the TJRC. Many rats on these fora didn't listen to me. Like your very Majesty's Ratship, you are now bringing up the issue. What has changed?

Subject: [KOL] Re: TJRC Scores for more time!
Its 9 more months for job completion that includes advancing opportunities for those that were adversely mentioned to be heard "and possibly clear their names" and do a report.
TJRC has been riddled with controversy - how does the tax payer fetch on lost time!
I fear there is a possibility to expunch the said names as the tax payer couphs more costs!

A spade is a Spade, and not a kijiko ndogo. That report will be so doctored it wont be worth the paper it is printed on. If we leave Ukabila aside, you will realize that the people who ordered Wagalla massacre are the same ones who were heading the TJRC. How then do you expect them to bring out a report which is incriminating them?

1. As soon as it was constituted, TJRC was embroilled in integrity issues particularly on the efficacy of Amb. Kiplagat
presiding over its operations as its chair. If the commissioners had the interest of Kenya and Kenyans at heart, they should
have resigned en masse and had the commission reconstituted, but this is Kenya. That could not happen because;
2. This commission turned out to be a gravy train. With a mandate so specific and the resources put in place, it is not
conceivable why the TJRC could not invite written submissions, hold barazas while giving opportunities to those adversely mentioned to have their say and get over with it.
With the commissioners taking home over Kshs.0.8 million per month, why are you surprised that they keep on
asking for extensions with nothing to show for it? Picture the good old Ambassador standing his ground that he
is not moving nowhere then you begin to see the latest form of raw white hair impunity.

Under the rule of natural justice,one should not be condemned unheard.After twists and turns TJRC is stuck,sought for more time so as to do its reports.
And in some News Reports today,there were sentiments for more time so as to have those mentioned time to be heard.
Should those who were mentioned ADVERSELY be given an opportunity to be heard (meaning more time + cash)? Or time be extended as requested by the commission for the compilation of the report? Or it was just another white elephant disturbing our mind and eating our coffers !
I am afraid if the status quo is manatined,we are likely not to see the report or if more time is allocated for those mentioned to be heard,we might either dilute what is so far in the hands of TJRC or "hear" those mentioned indefinately!
