A vastly experienced diplomat who has passed through various desks, at the Ministry of Tourism and International Co-operation - Salma Ahmed has been recently appointed the ambassador of France.
| She is the first Coast 'Hijab' personality to be promoted to such a high level of diplomatic position and indeed to very important European State . She hails from Mkanyageni location of Old Town of Mombasa. Salma had her A-level studies at Aldina Visram High School where her linguistic talents and diplomacy acumen sprouted. She is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with B.A, majoring in linguistics with Political Science as her subsidiary and with a postgraduate diploma in diplomacy. She has a high command of French language, impeccably articulate with its euphemisms, nuances and cultural subtleties. |  | |
