Dear Wanabidii,

Look at the picture above. These elephants are a cash cow for poachers – to the tune of $1,000 per pound of ivory.

Elephants, rhinos, and gorillas are now worth more dead than they are alive.

Wildlife trafficking is a $10 billion per year industry. Rhino horn sells for more than $30,000 per pound. A gorilla carcass can command up to $400,000 on the black market.

I know you are committed to ending this senseless slaughter. I urge you to join African Wildlife Foundation with a gift today – because until 12/18, your donation will be doubled up to $100K.

As our generous match donor Janet Carrus says, “It's no longer that the number of animals is dropping – it's plummeting.”

Africa's wildlife is in crisis. Join us to end poaching.

It’s up to people like you – people who see these animals as more than a paycheck – to fight back.

With this $100K Match Challenge, we can increase our anti-poaching workforce, bring our wildlife trafficking ad campaigns to new markets, and urge more governments to crush their ivory stockpiles. But we need to act now, because elephants, rhinos, and more are in immediate danger.

Please join us now and automatically double your impact. Even the smallest gift will make a difference in this critical moment.

We can't rely on someone else to do the work for us. We are the people who must fight to save Africa's irreplaceable wildlife.

Thank you,
Patrick Bergin
Chief Executive Officer

P.S. Our most urgent priority is to stop the slaughter of elephants, rhinos, and other African species. Your gift will be doubled for twice the impact in the fight against poaching. Join us now.
