Precisely; no net profit to the town. No sustainability. This is what happens in Kenya. We don't manufacture anything, we import things from China and then these things change hands from the Chinese to the importer to the wholesaler, to the retailer and finally to the consumer; with the money flowing in the opposite direction from the consumer to the Chinese. In the process, a series of Kenyan traders have made money, are happy but there is no net gain for Kenya from this process because the net effect is that money leaves Kenya.
