Donald Trump signs order to move on Mexico border wall project
US President Donald Trump took a first step toward fulfilling his pledge to "build a wall" on the Mexican border, signing two immigration-related decrees. Trump also signed measures to "create more detention space for illegal immigrants along the southern border" according to White House spokesperson.

IDBI arrests may hit loan settlements at PSU banks
Resolution of bad debts, on the books of public sector banks, could get delayed following the CBI’s arrest of top IDBI officials for sanctioning loans that went bad after a restructuring programme. Many public sector lenders are in a state of shock after CBI arrested, what was then the top rung of IDBI Bank, for sanctioning a loan of Rs 900 crore to Kingfisher Airlines (KFA). Although IDBI Bank was one among the consortium of 17 lenders — which together advanced Rs 6,900 crore to KFA — bankers feel that IDBI was targeted because the institution breached internal norms.
‘Resolve Etisalat issues to step up infra investment’
The UAE on Wednesday indicated that it would step up the planned infrastructure investment of up to $75 billion in a proposed fund with India if the government quickly resolved its concerns over Etisalat, which had invested in Swan Telecom that lost its 2G licences following a Supreme Court ruling.
