[wanabidii] The CIRAIG is recruiting PhD Students

Dear all,

The Interuniversity Research Centre for the Life Cycle of Products, Processes and Services (CIRAIG) is an internationally recognized centre of expertise in life cycle issues based at Polytechnique Montréal in Montréal, Canada. CIRAIG's main research unit, the International Life Cycle Chair, is seeking bright, motivated and highly skilled science graduates to join our team of PhD students in the following life cycle research areas:
  • Operationalization and implementation
  • System analysis
  • Impact assessment
  • Social and socioeconomic assessment

Interesting PhD research topics include:
  1. Intelligent LCI data warehouse to enhance data exchange along the supply chain;
  2. Optimization of existing production and logistics systems using LCA;
  3. Uncertainty assessment in consequential LCA;
  4. Dynamic and temporal LCA;
  5. LCA of large-scale infrastructure projects;
  6. Consideration of metal speciation within terrestrial ecotoxicological impacts in LCA;
  7. Obtaining the source-to-receptor relationship for industrial atmospheric metal emissions;
  8. Life cycle costing, monetization and total cost assessment; and
  9. Social LCA indicators using the impact pathway approach.

The PhD programs are offered by the Chemical Engineering, and the Mathematical and Industrial Engineering Departments at Polytechnique Montréal as well as the ESG UQAM School of Management.

PhD Scholarships up to CAD$21,000
Top-up scholarships are available for successful applicants who already hold a scholarship.
