| After rape charge, promotion for Paraskar | Days after he was discharged by the trial court in a rape case, the state government is preparing the ground to not only reinstate him but also promote him. Paraskar was booked by the Malwani police after a model filed an FIR against him in July 2014 alleging molestation and rape on multiple occasions. He is due to retire in October 2016. A state government officer said, “We had already moved a file to reinstate Paraskar and it is under process. Now that he has been discharged, we will not appeal in the court against the order, but will have to reinstate him soon.“ |
