Kaka Kaaya,

Pole and Congrats...

I mourn him too
Coz as young as I was
He entrusted me with 12.5m TZS
Prevention of HIV in Universities to carry

He indeed was professional
A keen listener too
A strong attribute for a leader
That he imparted to me too

Problem solver to hail, not only in war situation
But also in the society
Don't think he remembered
He helped me out
When got stuck in Bangkok

hahahahaha...
Na mimi najaribu kuiga kipaji chako kaka mkubwa...

The General Lupogo I knew

For me a mentor
An astute leader of values
A deacon to follow
Where substance
Once preoccupation

A Makerarian
A label they are proud of
The beginners in EAC
Lupogo  in that crowd
Inspiring many
With skill and intellect

A teacher he told me
Friends attest to the truth
Refereeing to Pugu his School
Where he imparted knowledge
Until surrendering to the call
Opting for the uniform

Look at him
A Decorated general
Who lived the war
The war that was
And is the distinct mark
For This nation's history

A lone solder in uniforms
With his degrees and
A "msomi" at that time
A difficult time indeed
Yet he endured
Rising through the ranks
To the top brass machine
He became
Decorated for velour  too

A strategist by training
Moulded at the finest
Of military schools
War studies he excelled in

General Lupogo an icon
Worth emulating
From a top military machine
To a politician
A management guru indeed
A turn around master
Leaving AICC on track
Creating TACAIDS from the scratch

General Lupogo my salute
My pain so real
Thinking of your mentorship
Thinking of your patriotism
Even in the face of snubbing
You remained  real to the nation
A true leader

General kwaheri
Rest in peace
Shilia Kaaya
AICC- Arusha
