Wholesale inflation falls sharply to 0.90% in June, food prices ease
The slowdown in wholesale inflation comes against the backdrop of retail inflation easing to a record low of 1.54 per cent in June. The WPI figure is at the lowest level in at least eight months -- since the availability of data for the new 2011-12 base year series.

Sensex, Nifty close flat; manages to avoid correction
BSE Sensex slipped 16.63 points to close at 32,020.75 while the broader index NSE Nifty came down by 5.35 points to end at 9,886.35. Nifty thus failed to recoup the 9,900-mark that it had breached for the first time ever when the bourse started trading in morning.
