Sensex soars 193 points, TCS up 4%
Benchmark Sensex surged 193 points to close at nearly five-month high of 28,661.58 today on robust buying in metal and IT counters amid positive global cues. Sentiment also got a boost after IT major TCS approved a share buyback plan of up to Rs 16,000 crore.

Amazon says to create 5,000 jobs in UK
US tech and retail giant Amazon on Monday said it would create 5,000 British jobs this year, in a show of confidence in the UK economy ahead of Brexit. Amazon separately said it was creating 1,500 positions in France under plans to have 15,000 new posts across Europe in 2017.

Gold futures drop Rs 127 on weak global cues, profit-booking
Amid a weakening global trend and profit-booking by speculators, gold futures traded lower by Rs 127 at Rs 29,299 per 10 gram on Monday. Analysts said the fall in gold futures was mostly in tandem with a weak trend overseas and profit-booking by speculators.
