An old lawyers adage says,   " If the facts are on your side, argue the facts. If neither the facts nor the law are on your side, throw yourself on the mercy of the court".   That's what Katwa has done: To throw his client(s) on the mercy of the court, since it seems that neither the law nor the facts are on their side.
