Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance Frank A. Rose will visit India, Singapore, the Republic of Indonesia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, February 19– March 6, for discussions on space security, strategic stability, and arms control. On February 22, Assistant Secretary Rose will meet with the leadership of the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore, India. On February 23, he will hold meetings with the Indian Ministries of External Affairs and Defence and with Members of Parliament. On February 24, the Assistant Secretary will lead the U.S. delegation to the second U.S.-India Space Security Dialogue and will deliver keynote remarks at the Observer Research Foundation Conference. On February 26, Assistant Secretary Rose will travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, for discussions on arms control with senior leaders from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will discuss space security at Indonesia’s National Institute of Aeronautics and Space. On February 29, Assistant Secretary Rose will hold meetings in Singapore with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and with the Economic Development Board Office of Space Technology and Industry. From March 1–3, Assistant Secretary Rose will have meetings in Tokyo, Japan, on arms control, the International Partnership for Nuclear Disarmament Verification, and on space security with multiple Ministries. On March 2, he will lead the U.S. delegation to the bilateral U.S.-Japan Space Security Dialogue. On March 3, the Assistant Secretary will give remarks at the “International Symposium on Ensuring Stable Use of Outer Space: Enhancing Space Security and Resiliency” organized by the Japan Space Foundation. From March 4–6, Assistant Secretary Rose will be in Seoul, Republic of Korea, for meetings with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U.S. Forces Korea, and at the Blue House.
