Secretary Kerry To Deliver Remarks at the Atlantic Council

Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the Atlantic Council’s “Trade and National Security: Renewing US Leadership Through Economic Strength” event at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.

The Secretary will be introduced by General James L. Jones, Jr., Founder, Jones Group International; Former National Security Advisor and Supreme Allied Commander, Europe.

Secretary Kerry will discuss the importance of the Obama Administration’s trade agenda to American leadership around the globe.

Secretary Kerry’s remarks will be open to the press and streamed live on http://www.state.gov. Follow @StateDeptLive and @AtlanticCouncil on Twitter for more event information.

Pre-set time for video cameras: 7:30 a.m. from the lobby entrance at 15th and L NW Washington, D.C.

Final access time for still photographers and journalists: 9:30 a.m. from the lobby entrance at 15th and L NW Washington, D.C.

Media interested in attending this event are required to RSVP. Please do so by emailing press@AtlanticCouncil.org.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver's license, passport).
