[wanabidii] The future of Iran nuclear negotiations, plus...

US defense secretary, Abdullah Gul, Chatham House Prize

Dear Colleague,

This week, Chatham House researchers examine the future of negotiations over Iran's nuclear programme, drawing lessons from US-Soviet negotiations 25 years ago and exploring the political power of Iran's president.

Melinda Gates received the Chatham House Prize 2014 and discussed her approaches to combating poor health and extreme poverty. Chatham House Prize 2010 winner Abdullah Gul sat down to discuss challenges facing Turkey and the wider region.

Plus, Jacob Parakilas analyses who will replace Chuck Hagel as US defense secretary.

Also, a new paper considers how powerful President Hassan Rouhani is within Iran's unique political system.
