The 30-share BSE Sensex lost 216.35 points to close at 31,797.84 while the broader 50-share NSE Nifty ended at 9,908.05, down by 70.50 points. In intra-day trade, Sensex lost almost 300 points to hit the day-low of 31,731.91. Nifty too, slipped below the psychological mark of 9,900 for a brief period
