Muslims and Christians and Budhists (who was the first Suicide bomber who blew up Rajiv Ghandi- she was a femaleTamil Tiger) and Hindus (BJV) and Sikhs (who shot Indira Ghandi) can all be terrorists even in the name of religion or in their own right. We wonder why Muslims are expected to apologize for explain any 'Muslim' atrocity when the Catholic church or Ugandan Catholics never even once 'explained' the LRA Ten Commandments terrorist movement of a former alter boy Joseph Kony.
Injustice breeds violence. And by the way - you cannot fight terror without fighting injustice. It would be a huge mirage.
Someone is making a lot of money by entrenching injustice, causing terrorism to sprout, often imagining terrorists, sometimes creating their own terrorists. Someone is investing in making everybody "afraid"-so they can tap their phones with impunity and arrest any undesirable individual with no regard to human rights. The machine must keep turning, you know. And many good people who believe "the news they watch" are drafted into the scheme. (Just share with me a list of Muslims in your family, or workplace that you know as terrorists than add your favorite list from the media).
As I said before, for the world of Islam and Muslims we are enjoying this free publicity- no amount of money could have afforded us the headline news of the whole world. Every intelligent (non Muslim) person must ask: "what is so special about this group that bothers every body? And when they ask further, they discover the peace they have always yearned for - ISLAM.
By the way does this Palestine-Israel question make any sense to you? Does it send you thinking a little bit?
As Muslim, my responsibility is to myself, family and community. I must enjoin justice and fight injustice with all the means at my disposal. It is all in the environment.
This is my own fight against Terror.
Yours is probably to highlight the evil of terror (I like this very much) and to demonize those whom you have been coached to regard as the Tzars of terror- the Muslims. That your choice. But when I look around, the "real terrorists" are near you but they have the dictionary- "everybody except them is the terrorist".
