Saturday May 17, 2014 - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has declared support for embattled Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero, in the gubernatorial by-election should the Supreme Court uphold the ruling by the Court of Appeal that dethroned him as Nairobi Governor.
This comes despite a souring relationship between Kidero and Raila after the former attempted to oust the latter as the undisputed leader of the Luo Nation.
In an email sent yesterday, Raila trashed the court's verdict throwing out Kidero, saying Kidero was validly elected as Nairobi Governor and should be allowed to finish his term.
"Team CORD unreservedly believes that the Governor was validly elected on an ODM ticket, and as such take the greatest exception to the Court of Appeal ruling against Kidero's election as Governor for Nairobi. It is hoped that quick recourse sought from the highest court on the land will do justice and reinstate Kidero to serve the remainder of his term in office," said Raila.
However, the news came as a shocker to Raila Odinga's sycophants who had warned of serious political consequences should ODM settle on Kidero as its choice of candidate in the by-election.
When contacted for a comment, Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang, who is Kidero's worst enemy in ODM, trashed Raila Odinga's choice saying ODM will never support Kidero because he is a traitor and sleeps with the enemy (Uhuru and Ruto) to betray ODM.

He will shed some crocodile tears for Kidero yet will be dancing doboro over Kidero's detriment...but whatever the case, Kidero you are on your own...u collected my tax and channeled it to some other location.
