[wanabidii] Mwalimu Nyerere speaaks

Of all of more than 50 of Mwalimu's speeches, this one, substantially, is the best I have listened to. It was in 1995 yet he hit at all the major ills that still ail Afrika today.

1. Corruption

2. Poverty

3. Religious discrimination (Udini)

4. Ukabila

These still remain the major causes of armed conflicts and instability in Afrika. The AU should be working to solve these problems instead of wasting time trying to get Uhuru and Ruto freed from their charges of Crimes Against Humanity.

Here is part of the speech. The entire speech was 1 hr 42 min but this segment is only 14 min. He gave the speech at the CCM Party Congress in Dodoma in 1995 where CCM nominated Benjamin Mkapa as its presidential candidate.
