I'm back again but this time to emphasize that English has no formula for pronunciation. A word may be pronounced differently depending on its usage or combination with another word. I have one example that one Syrian student of mine asked me the other day:
CYCLE --------- This is pronounced as S-A-I-K-o-L (the O is very quiet)I don't think that in my lifetime I'll be able to know how to pronounce all English words.
