Jan Dhan deposits stabilise; get Rs 1,487 crore in 7 days
The big surge in deposits into Jan Dhan accounts after the demonetisation seems to be stabilising now as just Rs 1,487 crore has been parked in them over 7 days to November 30, as against Rs 8,283 crore in the previous week.

RBI chief may cut rate by 0.25% in policy review on Wednesday
Reserve Bank governor Urjit Patel, in his first policy as RBI Governor, in October reduced the repo rate (short term lending rate) by 0.25% to 6.25%. This will be the second policy which will be based on recommendations of the Monetary Policy Committee.

India crosses $300 billion FDI milestone
India crossed the $300 billion foreign direct investment (FDI) milestone between April 2000 and September 2016, firmly establishing its credentials as a safe investment destination in the world. India received $101.76 billion from Mauritius between April 2000 and September 2016.
