Sensex, Nifty finish on positive note at the end of choppy week
The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 161.74 points to close on 31,892.23 while the 50-share NSE Nifty went up by 56.50 points to close on 9,974.40. The market successfully saw off another meltdown scare after government data showed that India's GDP has slowed down to a 3-year low in first quarter of 2017.

Rajiv Kumar takes charge as Niti Aayog vice-chairman
Kumar replaced Arvind Panagariya, an Indian-American economist who left the think tank yesterday to return to academia. Kumar was a senior fellow at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR). He holds a DPhil in economics from Oxford and a PhD from Lucknow University.
