Dear Colleagues,
In developing my project on Afro-metrics for a presentation on the 9th of December, 2016 I thought I should begin with a descriptive, albeit exploratory, study on the African political systems and their influence on the management of African school systems.
It can be argued that public sector schools in Africa operate within the broader context of political systems and the African management of school systems can be influenced by African political factors. Yet, there is a lack of quantitative (causal) and qualitative (relational) evidence on how political factors shape education systems and outcomes in African countries (see for example, Kingdon et al. 2014). The persistently poor quality of public service provision in African countries in the key sector of education provides an important motivation for studying the political economy of African education systems.
Is there anybody out there who could help me with references or bibliographical materials on the topic/problem?
Kindly let me have it.
Regards,
CDNKassala
