Sensex down 83 points on profit-booking
Sentiment remained cautious ahead of the UK referendum on whether to stay in the European Union due on Thursday. The 30-share barometer declined by 82.52 points or 0.31% to 26,784.40 in early trade.

Rupee down 11 paise against dollar in early trade
Besides, a weak opening in the domestic equity market weighed on the domestic unit, dealers said. However, weakness in the US dollar against major world currencies in the global market, limited the rupee fall.

Gold futures slide on weak global cues
Gold futures fell by Rs 111 to Rs 30,584 per 10 grams on Tuesday as participants cut bets amid a weak global trend. This is the third time in four days that gold has fallen. The fall is being attributed mainly to the UK referendum on whether to stay in the European Union, scheduled for Thursday.
