Centre to come out with MSME policy this year
The national policy for the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which seeks to boost the overall growth of the sector, is expected to be released by the end of this year. MSME minister Kalraj Mishra said "we are expecting the report by October 31 and it would be released after that".

GST to create unified market, save tax-on-tax: Jaitley
GST will convert India into one common market, prevent tax-on-tax and make goods and services cheaper, hoped finance minister Arun Jaitley while speaking at a conference in Tokyo. He also hoped that the opposition will soon come on board with the government on the GST issue.

Paddy MSP hikes to Rs 1,470 per quintal for 2016-17
The government on Wednesday hiked the minimum support price of paddy by Rs 60 to Rs 1,470 per quintal for the 2016-17 kharif (summer) season. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs.
