I see serious glaring construction design flows. I am not a Highway Engineer, but there are certain steps that were not taken into account when constructing that road.
1. How comes the compacted gravel was not reinforced with steel mesh.
2. Why was the load bearing capacity of the compacted road not put into consideration. This is so because failure seems to have come as a result of the weight of the concreted side guards. They needed to construct "Reinforced Ties" to hold the Compaction together to prevent this possible Momonyoko.

I saw this story and it reminded me of an old Lady whose daughter got married to a Chinese.
The Lady did not approve of the marriage. Several months down the line, her daughter came back home and told her that they had lost their child. The Lady marveled and told her; I did not approve of your marriage to this Chinese chap because- 'gik China gi ok last ga'.
My sincere sympathies to the people of China and more so to the people who did build this road. They are just like our roads which do not last.
It is time we went back North.
Now, that was real tough.
