| Ndugu wanamabadiliko, Martin Luther once said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." What happened to Dr Steven Ulimboka is a threat to justice everywhere regardless of your party, tribe, faith or education. I am a living proof of the use of terror, thuggish style and all sorts of state security to silence me for something that was very obvious—known to millions. Today, we are watching the unfolding episode about Chadema's leaders and to my disappointment—we are divided—taking these allegations easily as if nothing happen. I have never and will not expect a senior spook to admit publicly that he coordinated or has plans to kill anyone seen as a threat to national security. Therefore the denial by TISS officials was expected. However those who issued these grave allegations should furnish us, members of the general public, with credible evidence so that we can rally behind them to support and protect them as well. Failure to that, their allegations would be just another ploy—created to divert the public attentions from discussing the doctors' strike, Steven Ulimboka and many more issues facing this country for the time being. The State is invisible and it has so many ways of confusing people, especially when it senses that it is in hot fraying pan. It can 'manufacture' a scene backed with fabricated evidence to make you believe what's happening. Then you are forced to go publicly with two purposes—to make you look as a fool at the end of the day especially when you fail to prove your allegations and also sometime to keep you busy so that you should lose your focus in key issues facing the country inside the parliament as well as outside the parliament. Any leaked information by the so called sources or sympathizers can be accurate or just a ploy aimed at the aforementioned purposes. We should be very careful with those who pretend to bring us leaked secrets because sometime some of them are carefully planned or planted by the very same individuals from TISS. In this context, I am referring to the recent allegations made by Chadema's top leaders. Coming to the issue of Dr Uliomboka, my advice has always been to form an independent probe committee involving religious leaders, activists, MPs and some security officials. The question that lingers into the minds of many is: why aren't they(state)willing to form the probe committee, which is independent? what's their biggest worry if in their hearts they know that they didn't sanction the operation? If the Head of State has already said publicly that 'the government' wasn't involved, then why the State is not ready to form a probe committee? What they state might not know is that by failure to form an independent committee, it increases the chances of being accused as the mastermind of the move. Will join you guys later, I am in Joburg so far and will be back to today. --- On Mon, 7/9/12, makene tumaini <makene_84@yahoo.com> wrote:
