À la recherche d'un autre bateau pour remplacer le Amal-Hope.

Barcelone, Espagne. Alors que le Zaytouna-Oliva vogue vers Ajaccio (France), l'organisation du Bateau des Femmes pour Gaza * vient de dévoiler la liste de ses passagères, des femmes venant de neuf pays et de cinq continents. Cette liste (ici) comprend entre autres Malin Björk députée suédoise au Parlement européen; l'actrice espagnole Rosana Pastor Muñoz; et Yudit Ilany une Israélienne, conseillère de la députée Haneen Zoabi, membre de la Knesset.
Pendant ce temps, le bateau-sœur Amal-Hope, a dû retourner dans le port de Barcelone suite à des problèmes mécaniques (l'organisation a déjà connu de tels problèmes lors de missions précédentes). Une évaluation professionnelle de la condition du bateau en est arrivée à la conclusion que le Amal-Hope ne pourra pas faire le voyage avec le Zaytouna. L'organisation est à la recherche active d'un autre bateau et une campagne sera lancée pour défrayer les coûts additionnels
Le Zaytouna-Oliva devrait arriver à Ajaccio lundi le 19 septembre. La liste des passagères, qui variera selon les étapes, sera mise à jour et partagée régulièrement durant toute la traversée.
Concernant le Amal-Hope, Jaldia Abubakra, une passagère palestinienne vivant en Espagne a dit "Nous sommes désolées de devoir laisser le Zaytouna-Oliva derrière nous, mais nous portons le Amal-Hope dans nos cœurs".
Le Bateau des femmes pour Gaza est une initiative de la Coalition Flottille de la Liberté constituée d'organisations de la société civile et de campagnes qui se déploient dans plus d'une douzaine de pays. Pour plus d'information, visiter le site: www.womensboattogaza.org.

Zaytouna is approaching Ajaccio. Searching for a replacement of Amal

Barcelona, Spain: As Zaytouna-Oliva makes its way towards Ajaccio, France; the Women's Boat to Gaza* (WBG) releases its passenger list, which includes women from nine countries across five continents. The list (found here) includes parliamentarian Malin Björk, a Swedish member of the EU parliament; Spanish actress Rosana Pastor Muñoz; and Yudit Ilany of Israel who serves as advisor to Knesset member Haneen Zoabi.
Meanwhile, sister ship Amal-Hope remains in Barcelona following her return to that port because of mechanical problems (we had such problems in previous missions). Based on a professional assessment, she will not be in a condition to follow Zaytouna. Organizers are actively pursuing a new ship and will be launching a campaign to defray this additional cost. Zaytouna-Oliva is estimated to arrive in Ajaccio on Monday, September 19. The passenger list, which will change with each leg will be updated and shared throughout the journey.
With regard to the Amal-Hope, Jaldia Abubakra, a passenger from Spain/Palestine, said, "we are sorry to leave her behind. But we carry Amal-Hope in our hearts."
