Mzee Kaunda akamkubuka rafiki yake Mwalimu walivyosaidia kulikomboa Bara la Afrika kwa pamoja.
Maneno yake ya mwisho mzee Kaunda anasisitiza umuhimu ya yale aliyofanya Julius Nyerere kwetu sote; anasema:

This young President here comes out of your work; continue to support him and you continue to support all of us; with his activities.
