[wanabidii] Why Influencing Leaders Require a Willingness to Hug a Porcupine

What would it take for citizens to effectively influence their leaders for effective social or political change? What would governments do to better engage the civil society and citizens? This article provides insights on a key component for building coalitions between governments, the civil society and citizens: a well-informed citizenry that actively and constructively participates in the government's decision-making processes with a clear understanding of the "big picture."
