[wanabidii] Re: I am Very Concerned.........

Obama is an American president.America has a foreign policy that her citizens must adhere to notwithstanding the interests of some leaders (case of Obama and his roots to Africa and Kenya in particular or Kogelo for that matter).

Some concerns are that why is Obama not visiting his motherland !

Obama the president will operate under the regulations of Americas foreign policy (not limited to Uhuruto + ICC) hence the question of not visiting Agwambo + Emilios era is neither here nor there.

America is ceratinly imporant to kenya, reason for salvating for Obamas visit. But shall we stand the reading of a riot act on corruption, democracy and governance (pointing at possible consequences) !

We certainly do not need to be lectured, but the leadership owe moral responsibility to the people of kenya sound governance that should lead to bargains in the international fora.

Judy,
I really don't think Obama's advisors and the American society will take it kindly if Obama visits Kenya while Uhuru and Ruto are still facing the charges at the ICC. in the US, a Congressman had to resign his position just for sending sexually explicit photos of himself to his women friends on FB. Now imagine ICC charges !!!!!
It's kind of sad that Obama will not show up so we might as well accept it and move on. At least the Chinese, North Korean, Zimbabwean, Russian and Sudanese leaders will visit Kenya. They are our true friends and they just want to do business with us and they don't care if we kill or rape or maim each other. that is none of their business and they don't interfere in our internal affairs.

Good people,

Well, it could be possible and if it is true, then why is President
Obama by-passing Kenya? Why didnt he just visit earlier when
Kibaki and Raila were in power???

This is where I do not understand. I am provoked to question if
there is some discrimination?

I believe Kenyans wants peace and Unity, but this type of drama
will continue to divide Kenyans far apart and our struggle for peace and unity living together in harmony will be thwarted.

RAILA NOW UPGRADES TO AFRICAN EMINENT PERSONALTYFormer Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has been invited to Tanzania to meet... with US President Barrack Obama who will visit in two weeks' time.Credible sources said Raila was invited personally by Obama on his way to South Africa last week, where he was attending a World class democracy forum.

Raila, who is the father of democracy in Kenya, will travel aboard a private jet hired by US State Department to ferry Eminent African personalities including former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, to Tanzania where Obama is expected to address "African Democrats" Raila and Obama are long distant cousins and their meeting in Tanzania will be a re-union of cousins.

Obama was born of a Kenyan father late Hussein Obama Snr, who his ancestral home was Kogelo village in Nyanza.

Apparently, Raila is also expected to travel to the U.S next week for a Landmark address at the Prestigious Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Raila will address over 10,000 University Students on a forum dubbed promoting democracy in third world countries.
