CAREER OPPORTUNITY;

Human Resources (HR) and Administration Manager

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REPOA is currently seeking applications from interested individuals for the position of; Human Resources (HR) and Administration Manager.

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the HR and Administration Manager will be the head of section. The purpose of this position is to formulate and implement Human Resources and Administration strategies to ensure increased return on human capital investment, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

     Duties and Responsibilities:

Broad Function:

Overseeing effective implementation of HR and administration functions in the company.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop appropriate HR strategy, policies, procedures and practices in line with organizational needs;
  2. Deliver timely and effective solutions to HR issues, provide proactive support to management team to manage REPOA’s human resources, engage, develop and motivate staff to continuously improve morale, efficiency and effectiveness;
  3. Advice Management on strategies and plans that will enable the Institution to attract, motivate and retain the best quality staff at all times;
  4. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies and regulations are in compliance;
  5. Work with the management team on maintaining the succession plan and development of local staff to maximum potential through developing and implementing a competency framework, job descriptions, personal development plans and accountability;
  6. Coordinate recruitment and selection,  interviewing, hiring, promotions, performance review and related HR functions;
  7. Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues;
  8. Maintain an optimum staff complement by ensuring effective manpower planning, recruitment, training and development;
  9. Develop and carry out periodic reviews of the organization structure;  job description, compensation structure and schemes of service;
  10. Ensuring a conducive working environment;
  11. Develop appropriate Administration  strategy, policies and procedures in line with organizational needs to deliver timely and effective administration and logistics support in the organization;
  12. Interface with all key functional departments and units to appreciate their key roles in order to provide required administrative and logistics support services;
  13. Ensure availability of office supplies and facilities

Minimum requirements:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or related fields from a recognized institution, together with outstanding   leadership and management skills.  A master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and organization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good leadership skills
  • At least 7 years relevant experience, with 3 years at management level
  • Demonstration of knowledge on employment and labour relations act requirements.
