Re: [wanabidii] Re: KIGWANGALA AFUNGUKA....AMA NIJIUZULU AU?

KTY, Sasa hivi nasoma PhD pale UCT, na nimeishaandika thesis 3, scientific papers 7, makala zaidi ya 30 kwenye magazeti, ripoti zaidi ya 20 na naandika vitabu viwili (nkimaliza ntakupa upitie uone kama nitakuwa nimeiga ama ni orijino in your own perspectives!) - mimi ni mwanazuoni ninayejitengeneza kwa jitihada za kusoma na kufuata maadili ya kazi za kisomi, siwezi copy kazi ya mtu kwa kutafsiri - that is too low aisee! Give me my respect walau a bit!

"These striking differences are not ancient. In fact, they did not exist prior to the end of the Second World War. But after 1945, the different governments in the North and the South adopted very different ways of organizing their economies. South Korea was led, and its early economic and political institutions were shaped, by the Harvard- and Princeton-educated, staunchly anticommunist Syngman Rhee, with significant support from the United States. Rhee was elected president in 1948. Forged in the midst of the Korean War and against the threat of communism spreading to the south of the 38th parallel, South Korea was no democracy. Both Rhee and his equally famous successor, General Park Chung-Hee, secured their places in history as authoritarian presidents. But both governed a market economy where private property was recognized, and after 1961, Park effectively threw the weight of the state behind rapid economic growth, channeling credit and subsidies to firms that were successful" - Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson's (2012) Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty (pp. 71-72).

Chambi, you are right. Its a real hassle to strike a balance between politics and family affairs. You find yourself hitting the road everyday for meetings or for family! This is a real thing, not 'policraps' I was one day given an offer to go teach at a University (UCT) if I wish, and from when I graduated in Medicine, teaching and research was always high up in my shopping list and luckily enough I got me an opportunity for PhD studies in Molecular Biology (Uni of Nijmegen) as well as a teaching position at MUCHS but wazee wakani-block sababu ya kuongoza mgomo! Nikapata nafasi ya kazi (research and consulting) Ifakara Health Research and Development Center, pia nikawa blocked sbb ya mgomo nikaachana na mambo ya ajira nikaamua ku-settle kwenye self employment na consulting and I was enjoying! I have always loved politics and so I made a debut into, and I have my reasons for it, and ofcoz for the others. Now I have been into business, politics and consulting/research, philanthropy, but have never been a full time academic, is this now the time to rethink my future??? Just a dilemma that demand careful trading off.

Huyu JAMAA ana point kabisaaaaaaa....Nime-copy na Ku-pest from william malecela blog--Le mutuz"Nina maswali mengi sana kichwani mwangu. Niishi maisha gani mimi? Nipo kwenye dilemma nzito ambayo sina majibu yake. Nachanganyikiwa tu. Mungu nioneshe njia sahihi ya maisha yangu ya baadaye."
