Mi naona ndugu yangu umeteleza ktk email hii. I have taken it as an official email sidhani kama ilitakiwa kuja humu... Utajiharibia sifa ktk kazi zako...

Aggrey,
Thanks for your email. You are correct on every point except item number 3. Severance Allowance. My very fresh recollection which can be attested by everyone in attendance is that we promised to investigate further the issue of severance allowance and I will come back to you the earliest possible.
You may wish to refer to my email to you on the same day (which you opted not to respond to till now)
In any case, we have pretty much wrapped up our inquiry and you will hear from us next week.
Kind regards,
Patrick

HI Aggrey,
It was great chatting to you and your colleagues and I am encouraged by the progress we have made in the sense that:
1. NSSF/PPF is no longer an issue as agreed by both parties, and2. As we agreed certificates of service will be prepared and issued to all eligible ex Airtel staff. As promised we want to investigate further the issue of severance allowance and I will come back to you the earliest possible.
Kind regards,
Patrick

Dear Patrick,
We really appreciate the chance we had on 17th Oct between us (10 representatives) and Airtel management.
Indeed it was interactive and, for sure, we discussed issues OBJECTIVELY which is very important towards dispute resolution.
After the meeting, we updated our colleagues who sent us there for discussion as follows:
1. NSSF & PPF contributions is no longer our claim because it is governed by the Law (various Social Security Fund acts).2. Certificate of Service: We have agreed that all ex-Airtel employees are entitled, and the letters will be brought at Spanco premises (office) for us to collect within reasonable time after they (Airtel) have prepared, bearing in mind will be within reasonable time.3. Severance Allowance: We categorically agreed that the contracts were terminated for Retrenchment as indicated by the law governing employment in Tanzania therefore, as the law stipulates, we are entitled to be paid the severance allowance.
Dear Patrick, it is our hope that we will hear soon from your end as we agreed in that meeting.
Note: I have kept in loop all the representatives who attended the meeting so that we have common understanding regarding the issues discussed and agreed.
Thanks and regards,
Aggrey
On behalf of ex-employees of Airtel Tanzania.
