On behalf of all at DHL I would like to wish you a very happy 2013! I hope you managed to find some time to celebrate the festive season with your friends and family.

Once again, I would like to thank you for your loyalty and support throughout the past 12 months and assure you of our continued commitment as we venture into the new year. As a way of thanking you and to get the year started in the right fashion we have launched the 'Kickstart the Year' with DHL  promotion that rewards account customers for the 3rd, 5th, 7th or 10th international shipments. For 2013 we will continue to focus on 4 key areas:

  • Service: We will continue investing in infrastructure that supports service excellence, along with a very specific focus on customs clearance and reducing controllable fails that, whilst very small, can cause considerable irritation and dissatisfaction. Furthermore we will drive customer service forward -  our aim is to make every touch point an amazing experience; whether that be with a courier, a customer services agent, our accounts department or our sales team. We will strive to make doing business with DHL simple and enjoyable!
  • Customer: We are committed to increasing the number of places and ways you can access DHL and ensuring that those interactions are top notch. Our goal is to ensure we win your loyalty and you never think of using any other carrier to ship internationally.
  • Price: We offer the very best service in the industry, serving more destinations than any other carrier and at the same time we will continue to ensure our prices are reflective of the markets that we operate in. One of the ways we will support your growth in 2013 will be the continued roll-out of our ExpressEasy product, aimed at convenient and cost-effective international shipping.
  • Can-Do spirit: In whatever we do and whatever you ask, our more than 3500 employees across Africa will be charged to find a way and get it done. I am incredibly proud of our employees and I know they will do all that they can to surpass your expectations in 2013.

So, whilst the global economy is still somewhat uncertain, you can be absolutely assured that we will do all that we can to deliver a great service to you.

Africa is an exciting market and DHL is excited to be part of its amazing growth. As such it only remains for me to wish you a very happy and prosperous 2013 – we look forward to working with you in the year to come.
