[wanabidii] can ict decongest the courts?

In our older constitution, practically nothing went to the courts. The judiciary was thought too comprised to give
justice. You can jog your memory by refusal of the political class to have their dispute settled in court.

Now that the judiciary is seen to be working, we are having  the opposite. Everyone is heading to the courts.
When your neighbours chicken cross the fence.kotini mara hiyo hiyo. When your neighborhoods child wails
at night.pap.in the court.disturbing the peace.

and a true case. Owner of a hotel annoyed argued with an employee
and the employee said in jester.... ukicheza na mimi nitakuuwa.and just like that. Kamukunji police station had
an extra mahabusu waiting for their day in court. Only a foolish person can assume the annoyed employees
words were being spoken in a literal way.

Recently someone from the judiciary commented on the need for an alternative dispute mechanism to halt on these
tides of frivolous cases.

May i ask of any judiciary official. How can those of us in ICT strengthen these other alternative mechanisms so that
and i repeat so that cases can be vetted before they reach the courts? Sometimes the matter needed is just
an apology to soothe a bruising ego.

The use of the courts to soothe and massage egos is an incredible waste of resources. Resources as in the learned
magistrates and judges can concentrate on cases that genuinely need a wise man or woman to reach a
consensus.... cases like the election date.... or evaluation of evidence to determine if a crime was committed?

I pray our courts are released of petty matters so that they can have the energy and time to handle true issues.

Ps. When i was a small 10 year old boy i used to say when i grow up i want to be a judge. OTLTA (one-thing-led-to-another)
and i ended up in ICT field. Very satisfied but the delivery of justice definitely did not dry up from my bloodstream.
