Re: {GIS} Re: [wanabidii] Re: Selective Justice in Kenya - Gumo should be cooling his heels behind the bars

Trust the simple minds to bring RAO into this matter. Ati "RAO has not commented about this blah blah blah"...... Kenyans are unbelievable!!

That aside, the law is clear about a person being innocent until found guilty. If investigations reveal that he actually stole the vehicle, then Gumo should by all means be charged with this offense; but we cannot decide NOW that he's guilty, therefore he must be put behind bars!! The same law dictates that every citizen of this country has a right to defend himself/herself in a Court of law regardless of whether he's truly guilty or innocent...............
"If a person is charged with a criminal offense, then unless the charge is withdrawn, the case shall be accorded a fair hearing within a reasonable time by an
independent and impartial court established by law."

It's only after the hearing and a verdict can we pass judgement as to whether he should be cooling his heels behind bars. Let's not let our tribal and political affiliations get in the way of perceiving this matter with objectivity. Put the sentiments aside for a change.
