[wanabidii] TCKC meets Bamburi Lafarge



Friends,


We at The Clean Kenya Campaign-TCKC had a very hectic day today.

First, we had a very productive meeting at Bamburi Lafarge in Nairobi on the process of Waste Management. Then, I had a meeting with the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development Arch Philip Sika at his offices.

There are several things we discussed in respect to Waste Management in Kenya and we will be sharing the import of this discussions with our Team Members as we approach The 2nd Consultative Forum on Waste Management at the KICC on the 28th August 2012.

Bamburi Cement will make a major presentation on how waste can be used as a raw resource for making cement during The Forum.


Now, I want to confirm that the Minister for Nairobi Metropolitan Development Hon Jamleck Kamau will officially close The Forum at 4.30pm on the 28th August 2012 while, the Minister for Education Hon Mutula Kilonzo will open the 2nd Session at 2.00pm.

We will be confirming our main Guests for the 1st Session.


Again, I want to appreciate all the Teams that have written to us seeking participation. The latest are Cooperazione Internazionale- COOPI and Kisumu County Monthly Clean-up Environment Network- Kicocen.

We will be accrediting two participants from the Groups that would like to participate.

This will be a Forum with a difference and your active participation, engagement and support is hereby invited.


As we move The Clean Kenya Campaign across Kenya, we want to continue appreciating our Key Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department at the Office of the Prime Minister and the National Environment Management Authority, and all our Strategic Partners for their continued support.


Let us all work for a Clean Kenya as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50.
